![]() The History1895The Company is established in Milan and, since the beginning, its production range includes reciprocating pumps. 1900 – 1940 The manufacturing program includes different lines of products i.e. reciprocating pumps, centrifugal pumps, piston engines, valves for industrial and civil applications. 1945 Peroni moves to new premises where the production activity remains up to 1994. 1950 The Company adopts a policy of technological specialization concentrating its activity in the designing and manufacturing of reciprocating pumps. 1955 – 1970 Peroni supplies its pumps to the new growing petrochemical and refining industry in Italy. In the same period the Italian engineering companies, that are building new plants for hydrocarbon processing around the world, select Peroni for their installations and this allows the company to be boosted in the international market. 1980 A Quality Assurance System is introduced in the company organization. 1982 Eni/Agip Group takes an equity interest in the company with a minority stake. Eni/Agip share holding ends in 1987. 1983 A second manufacturing plant is built in Gaeta in the southern Italy. 1994 All the manufacturing processes are concentrated in the Gaeta factory for the optimization of the production activities. 1995 The Quality Assurance System is certified according to ISO 9001 standard. 1996 The Research & Development Department is formally established and provided with specific software and hardware tools and a dedicated testing room. 2004 The Environmental Management System is certified according to ISO 14001 : 2004 standard. 2007 The project for an enlargement of Gaeta factory is approved to increase production capacity. The project includes new sandblasting and painting shops designed to satisfy the specific requirements of the offshore market and will be executed during 2008. 2008 Peroni Pompe headquarters have moved to new premises including a state-of-art research center, located in Milan area. |
